Saint Michael’s Church

Founded in 1831, Kensington’s St. Michael’s Church was the first to be founded outside of Philadelphia’s original borders.

The breathtaking building is actually the second iteration of St. Michael’s; the original structure burnt to the ground in 1844 during the city’s Nativist riots. Aside from its stunning architecture, the church is noted for offering a bilingual mass.
