“HOW THE RHYME FLOW?
R. GREENE MIDDLE NAME
CALL HIM CAMLO”
What’s in a name? For Roi Greene, a link to his mother Donna and grandmother Ethel May, as well as a connection to Greene Street in his hometown of South Kensington.
Like several of the neighborhood’s residents, Roi’s cultivated quite the creative side and we were excited when he shared these publicity photos of his rap group, G Syndicate. They performed in the 2000’s throughout the city. In the top photo, taken in Roi’s’ backyard on N. 3rd St, are Ronnell “Infinite” Washington, Don “Donny Brasco” Greene, Roi Camlo Greene, Elgin “El Pesos” Woods, and Rodney McNeil.
You can hear one of his songs, ‘Greene Is,’ on Youtube.
