Going green in the River Wards

EXCERPT: On Wed­nes­day, May 18, about two dozen people, mostly River Wards res­id­ents, came out to the fu­ture site of the Kens­ing­ton Com­munity Food Co-Op (KCFC), 2666 Cor­al St., to learn about the city’s Green­works pro­gram and share their thoughts about how it might meet the needs of their com­munit­ies.

The dis­cus­sion was hos­ted by the New Kens­ing­ton Com­munity De­vel­op­ment Cor­por­a­tion’s (NK­CDC) Sus­tain­able 19125 & 19134 ini­ti­at­ive and led by Christine Knapp, dir­ect­or of the Of­fice of Sus­tain­ab­il­ity.
